After the Storm

About a week ago we had a pretty bad storm rolling in. Let me say, it only rained once that day !
The kids were excited about this nasty weather due to 2 reasons.
1. The TV was on all day long to listen to the latest Tornado warnings and of course it was not the news channel bubbling all day, it was the kids channel( plus there was not a lot to do anyway that day)
2. They watched the ditch fill up quickly, which means CRAWFISH here in Louisiana.
As soon as the rain had stopped, they were out to catch some dinner(LOL).

Luciens new boots became quite handy, even though they are still a little big, but he could have definately not joined the fun without them. And speaking of fun. They were hilarious catching them crawfish.They made the very best out of a rainy day

Time flies.......

Wer erinnert sich noch an diese süsse Maus mit ihrem tollen neuen Laufrad? Da war sie zweieinhalb und in jeder freien Minute in Neulussheim und Neulussheims Wäldern unterwegs.

Naja, jetzt wird wohl deutlich, wie gross unser Mädchen geworden ist.
Mit Beinen, die so lang sind, ist es geradezu unmöglich sich mit ihrem Laufrad fortzubewegen. Ganz zu schweigen von dem Gewicht, dass das arme Rad zu tragen hatte.
Es war Zeit für ....

....... Lucien das kleine Laufrad zu übernehmen. Mit schickem neuen weissen Reifen, ist er kräftig am üben.

What a fun-filled Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun. We did a lot; a lot as a family and that was a much needed time for all of us.
Enjoying the great late February weather, we decided( Ricky decided) to camp in the yard. The kids were all up for it! Lucien can joined the fun til bedtime and he was all fine with that( enough camping for a 2 year old).

There was some luxury camping going on in our backyard, including a nice bed, ordered pizza and watching CARS on the DVD player. It could have not gotten better for Stella. Of course, both Püppis got to enjoy the fun, too.

Saturday morning, Mrs Chris took both kiddos to see the cousins play basketball, which gave me time to pay attention to my neglected pile of laundry and my neglected self ;)

Ricky had to finish up something at work, so we took a trip to Baton Rouge, he finished his urgent work and we enjoyed playing at the park close by. It was a wonderful day to play outside

Rick came back and picked us up. The kids truly enjoyed this half an hour at the park but were also very excited that they would get to go to their favorite store.

They love riding those carts at Whole foods but enjoy to sample their veggies and fruits even more.
After that was only room for a little dinner in those filled up tummies.
Sunday was simply sunday, which means rolltime at Maw and Paws.
Lots of people, lots of coffee, rolls, cousins and fun

It was beautiful outside! The crew went outside to catch some lizzards. Poor things they are not back to their full speed yet( due to the time of the year). Therefor they were an easy target for those little hands. Lucien had a blast!

Lucien got to wear Paws hat which , not very surprising, fit him extremly well.
Later on, we worked in our yard some more.

and of course being close to the pool meant that those little toes would not stay still until they would take a dip in the water

Letzte Woche war die grosse Verabschiedungsfeier für Luciens Nunus( wie bereits ausführlich berichtet) und das Fazit nach einer Woche ist ausserordentlich positiv. Er hat das ganze wie ein Mann weggesteckt. Das einzige Problem ist nun, ihn mittags zum Schlafen zu bewegen( abends ist er so platt, da geht das relativ gut) aber mittags ist schon noch ne grössere Herrausforderung.
Da er so tapfer war, hat er sich natürlich auch ne kleine Überraschung verdient.

Und eines Tages war dann tatsächlich ein Päckchen von Ginny im Briefkasten. Die Augen waren gross( besonders die von Stella).
Ginny wusste irgendwoher ganz genau was gerade so ìn`ist bei Mr Lucien.

Es gab einen neue Lok von Thomas the train und ein paar Big Boy Unterhosen ebenfalls mit Thomas drauf.

Woher Ginny nur gewusst hat, was unser nächstes grosses Projekt ist?????

Lucien fand den Zug toll, die Buchsen wusste er noch nicht richtig zu schätzen also machte er sich schnurstracks wieder auf den Weg zurück um auf dem Trampolin zu hüpfen.
Danke liebe Ginny, du hast es uns wirklich leicht gemacht aus Lulu einen ´Big Boy `zu machen.
Sarah, Greg, Liam und Ginny ziehen diese Woche in den Norden um und sind für eine kurze Stippvisite in Louisiana. Prompt informierte sich Lu, wo denn nun seine Nunus geblieben sind, da Ginny keinen im Mund hatte........... Schlaues Kerlchen

A Doctors week

Puh, we had a week filled with doctors appointments which included A LOT of waiting of course. The kids, esp. Stella, did great, thanks to all the Disney-Channel-playing-TV´s.

Good news, nothing serious found causing Stellas back pains. Propably just some more growing going on. This girl will tower over everybody if she continues growing like that. Lu went with us when we saw the pediatrician for Stella. He walked in and told their Dr:` No shot for Lulu Dr Lee`, hence to the fact that I have been there with him for his check-up right before the weekend. And then the nurse came in and he greeted her with :` Hey other Dr Lee!!!!´ Too cute

Dental appointments are never fun.
Stella will have some work on her teeth done in a couple of weeks, we´ll see how that goes.

She loved the office of the pediatric dentist and is looking forward to go back there

More Disney Channel( this girl was way to relaxed to be at the dentist if you ask me)
And Tricia did a good job with/on me. She had to tease me just a weeee little bit and I think she even enjoyed it a little ;)

Anyway,after all this, we were ready for a nice long weekend.
